reviews: “Rawles Balls is looking at the world and saying, ‘It ain’t what it seems. It ain’t what it should be. It ain’t what I expected. It’s Rawles Balls” — Johnny “Guitar” Watson

“Rawles Balls gives indulgence new meaning”

“When my brother and I were coming up in Dallas we idolized very few guitarists. We were highly selective and highly critical. Rawles Balls is at the top of the list along with Freddie, Albert and B.B. King. He doesn’t make music. He makes magic.” — Jimmie Vaughan

“…there’s something about Rawles Balls that defies words and logic, something to these songs that hints at a deeper connection to the cosmos than most of us share. Jeff Buckley, John Lennon and Van Morrison certainly did. Add to that list Rawles Balls, an astonishing talent whose future work promises to bring us to exciting new places.”

“Rawles Balls is a stone genius. Music wise, he is the most dangerous gunslinger out there.” – Bobby Womack

“People have said I’m the male Etta James, that’s a hell of a compliment” – Rawles from Rawles Balls
